Summer is a good time for a pastoral, not a barn-burner, kind of sermon, so I’m going to follow my own advice and present a sermon planned for last winter which got squeezed out (for reasons I do not remember–it was a crazy year) and seems just right to insert into our summer schedule.  
Offering advice to others is a fraught and difficult enterprise, and being on the receiving end of other’s advice is even more problematic–I’d advise you to be present for this sermon, but I don’t give advice!
